Default MORE on the remote windows....

Well... I picked up my car last night...

My car was build May 26th.

I watched over the shoulder of the tech trying to activate my remote window control and the computer actually displayed an error screen stating that my car was build after January something and that option is not available for my car.

The mention of that option is also removed from the book that came with my car.

Everything else is great... no popping... no skipping.. my Shaker 500 played my MP3' CD just wonderful, even displayed the song information accurate although I wish it would scroll the info automaticly instead of making you hit the text button over and over.

I did discover something wierd. I installed billit ***** on the AC controls.. and the TEMP and FAN will let you rotate them the full 360 without stops... but they work fine - just wierd they will let you do that.

Poo! Mine was built June 8th (hoping to have her this weekend), and I was really looking forward to that feature. I had hoped that with a little coaxing and direction I could get the dealership to activate them. Sounds like that isn't even an option now, though. Oh well, a minor thing at most.....still would've been very cool, though.

Mine was built last year so I guess I don't have it either...I love that feature though.

Brain...

I'm "dealing with it"... it would have been nice with my convertable to lower the windows and let the HEAT out as I walk across the parking lot.. BUT - I got Remote Start.. so my workaround is I'll just start my car before I start walking across the parking lot and let the AC cool her down!

PW, is it a good thing to start your car with the AC 0n? I was under the impression that was a no..no.

BTW post more pics, (next to the bike!)

PW,

Is it possible to get a remote system that does multiple options? Remote start on one plug in, windows on another, car alarm on third button? When I was having my XM commander installed the tech said I could get around the factory limit with an aftermarket system. My problem is knowing what system to use.

Dan

Heh, that remote start sounds nice. I'm sure it's just terrible "getting along" without the windows though. Guess I'll just have to deal with the heat the old fashioned way: sweating!

Gratz on your car, by the way. She looks real nice for sure.

Waiting for a new pic Professor!! not gonna fool me this time!

Martin123, Shouldnt matter, accessories are all turned off when car is cranking, also I think its a few seconds after turned in before the A/C actually turns on.

Uh, why not get a remote system to lower the roof??? It would cool of a LOT faster!
Incidentally, my dealership's mechanic who I had adjust my alarm (Ultra Guard POS) said I could use the option button to lower the windows or start the car, but it cost $70 or something like that. My car was built in March 05.
