4.10's INSTALLLED
Well I picked up the car from the shop today. The guy complimented me on having a nice car, then he told me its a whole new beast. I asked what the break in period was and he told me to GO. I said I would give it a full tank of gas before I really get on it. I want them to break in properly since I have a pair of drag slicks comming in my near future. The car is completely different. Exhaust tone is actually a little deeper and it hauls assss. I can still use 1st gear since Im runnin a 29.x" tire. I can honestly say it was a great investment....and for the guy with the Bullitt that said "be ready for the next track day" lol
Im ready.
Im ready.

Sweet! Did I tell ya or did I tell ya I stopped by Dave's shop before heading to BMR to get my car and he said you'd just picked the car up a little bit before I got there. He said he forgot to tell you, and spread the word on this, they're having a grand opening BBQ there at the shop on April 18th. Of all days...I'll be in Chatanooga TN that weekend.

Congrats on the gear and the tall tire helped to effectively change the ratio to still have a usable first gear!....this is the very reason why I would only do 4.10's as opposed to 3.73 and besides I have read that going from 3.55 (which I have now) to a 3.73 would not be as noticeable and you get more bang for the buck by jumping up by 2
enjoy!
enjoy!

Thanks mygt500. I almost went with a 4.30 gear to get the full feeling with my bigger tires, but decided against it since my DR's will be stock tire height and I wouldnt really have a first gear at the track.

I will be getting the 275/40/20 Nitto INVO's which according to the website its a 28.62 inch tall tire...that is tall so the small amt of width that I lose from switching from a 285/30/20 (26.7 inch tall tire) to this bad boy will get the sidewall that I need -gain of 2 inches
the 295/35/20's are 28.1 inches tall (almost a 1.5 inch gain) and may be the better option in the long run for width. This way I can get the 275/35/20 (27.6 inch tall tire) in front and remain 20 mm different front to back and only about 1/2 inch difference in height from front to back and further bring the front off the ground from the prev 265/30/20 (26.3 in tall tire) I have now (a 1.3 inch gain in front).....much better for my set up IMO... lifts the car a bit, have more sidewall and fills the wheel well more further giving the lowered look and saving the side exhaust.
