KOOKS LT's are NOT too expensive.

I am thinking of installing the kooks LTs as well. I have Borla Stingers axle backs. I want to go with the hi flow cats but I am not sure about H or X pipe. I heard of a lot of sound issues with the x pipe O/R set up (trumpeting etc.) Does the same exist with the hi flow cats? Also is there a horsepower advantage by using X vs H pipe?
Thanks a lot.

I guess if you need a catted pipe then it isn't such a bad deal.. I dont need a catted pipe though so thats an extra $200-300.
Mac Headers: 446, 225 for or/h midpipe.. 671 is a lot less than 1200 for kooks LT headers + high flow catted midpipe.

I got my headers (Kooks LTs + Hi-Flow Catted X-Pipe) from ebay for $800.
They were used with about 1,000 miles on them.
Did you use the stock metal gaskets? Or the Kooks ones?
What about bolts? I got my headers used and they came without bolts so I was thinking of ordering the stage 8 locking bolts.

Even if it was just parts and that included everything you need it is still quite a bit cheaper than Kooks are on most of the places that have them for sale.

I had Brenspeed install KOOKS LT Headers, Catt'd X with CORSA axlebacks on my '08 SHELBY GT. Absolutely awesome sound, fit and quality. You will not regrete this install. And with COMP Thumper Cams.....LOOK OUT, here I come!
