Gears and driveshaft installed today
I had FRPP 3.73s and a Shaftmasters 4" aluminum driveshaft installed this morning. I also had tint done this afternoon too, 30% (legal) on the sides 5% in back. Car looks menacing now.
I haven't nailed the gas extremely hard yet, but I have to say the driveline now feels totally connected due to the driveshaft, I'm very impressed. The car just feels... tight. I never thought of it as "loose" before until I drove it home with the new shaft. Anyhow, in general it is definitely faster and feels much more torquey and responsive. The 3.73s seem to put the car right into boost RPM in a hurry. The one time I gave it about 50% throttle in first, the thing just hauled ***. I can't wait to see how it is at WOT.
The shop told me not to worry too much about break-in, but did say a couple of heat cycles wouldn't hurt. I'll drive it around a couple more times and let it cool off before I lay on it. I couldn't hear anything in the rear, it is whisper quiet like stock. They did replace the bearings as well after telling me the stock ones were going to be loud upon inspection.
When I unloaded the stock driveshaft from the car at home, I was shocked at just how heavy that sucker is compared to the aluminum one. It must weigh at least double, and also looks hokey as hell, lol. No wonder the lightweight shaft feels much better on the car...

Thanks guys, I usually like to add one mod at a time so I know how much difference it made. In this case I happened to have a day off of work for Good Friday and the shop was open, so I had to take advantage and get some things done.
