Default brands and types of guages

Anybody use FRPP guages?

The look cool. I like the black face. Wonder what color the lighting is (please be green).

And on another note, AutoMeter now makes FordRacing guages.

Cool. I'm firing off a question to Autometer to ask about colors in that guage. Website doesn't mention it.

The JEGS printed catalog shows many lighting options for the AutoMeter
guages. I cannot believe that the color cannot be made green by
the end user without AutoMeters help. Most use simple 194 bulbs
and a green cover available at AutoZone would do the trick.
What color would you like??

That link I gave you before shows you the gauge and the lighted version. Go up top and hover above "view illumination".

No color change on the FRPP gauges, at least not without some modding...which I'm not gonna do.

Autometer response:

Hi Shane,

They are not. The Ford Racing gauges share their construction with our newer LED through the dial lit gauges. These are lit by an array of LEDs that are integrated into the circuit board assembly itself. These are not serviceable like a conventional bulb and cannot be replaced. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Best regards,

Joseph Mills
Auto Meter Products, Inc.

Would have been MIGHTY cool to have dash-matching FRPP gauges.

My gauges are gonna have to match my dash. I'm pretty **** about that. Black face, white lettering, green letter illumination. (I don't have a mycolor dash)

Autometer response:
You can change them if you want to, and its possibly not the hard once you have a iron and a lot of patience :P
