yes your 373s are great......
i love my 410s but have to skip gears to drive her smooth yet not seem like a dink. the shifting is fine its just it can be loud at times but i dont mind its like if I have to give someone a ride like my mom or something.
as far as my 2cts, if you drive it up in the high rpms get the 410s you'll be shifting more but you'll !!!!!LOVE!!!!! the extra pep, autos need a taller gear/or tire as you like it plus or minus but the autos generally are a bit to high reving.
either way get it properly installed, its not a DIY for most, many mechanics dont even do them.
anyways best words ive seen on it is "dont fear the gear"

I don't understand the "shifting all the time" comments with 4.10s. With my 3.31 gears I used 1st through 5th gear going from a dead stop to about 40 MPH. If I dropped below 40 MPH I needed to downshift. With the 4.10 gears I use 1st through 5th gear going from a dead stop to about 40 MPH. If I drop below 40 MPH I don't have to downshift. I shift less around town (no, I'm not shiftless ).
I think the shifting is a perception thing. Recognizing that everyone has there own tolerances, I am in the 4.10 camp solidly. But the shifting alot, please. The amount of shifting is a mechanical fact and you shouldn't need to shift anymore often with the 4.10s.
Just my 2 cents.

I agree that your still shifting as much maybe even more, but the point is if your trying to drive it all chill and melo, but not get blown away by the minivan next to you without trying, once i hit 2k it gets loud, not in a bad way in my mind but it can be to others,
so the point is that you go to 40 mph 1-5 and because you dont run through the gear too quick you can use the low end tq and keep the car going smooth yet faster and still under the point where the car gets loud.
maybe its just me or some of us but it can be a pain at times
but the pay off is a car that acts like an animal when you want it.
410s is still one of the best mods to my car, but im gonna definatly run a taller tire in the winter

That assumption would be correct for the older 4-speed trannies. The newer 5-speed auto trannies actually have a shorter gear than the manual transmissions. 4th gear is identical in both. The only (Minor) differences are in 2, 3, and 5th gear.
So in this case what's good for the goose is good for the gander
