You push on the fuel door and it springs open. When you close it, you push it again to seal it shut. It's kinda like those doors you find on some assemble-it-yourself entertainment centers. There is a locking cap you can get for the EasyFuel filler, but it goes behind the door. Check out your nearest auto show to see 'em in action
