I was waiting for more '07+ GTs to chime in.. some sources claim they are lighter by up to 100lbs (even though they were designed to handle the GT500 engine) I'll have to see if I can get mine weighed after work..

new vette's internet source says 3200lbs.

the z06 is 3162 according to the interwebs as well.. so.. 38lbs doesn't seem like a lot lighter to me

and stripping 200lbs off of the vette to get under 3k? I didn't think they had that much to strip unless you mean ac/heater, lighter seats.. etc.. hardcore lightening..

i dnt believe that is really accurate, my friend has a z06 under 3k, did basic weight lose, and a dif lightweight clutch, carbon fiber.

it pretty easy to get a vete around 3k even or under with not MAJORR money

ZR1 is 3,352lbs

I weighed my car last year at the track and it was 3475 w/o the spare and 1/4 tank, Shaker 500 with custom 12in sub in trunk.
