Im happy with my Paxton HO kit and they have good deals out there on them. Its more everyday drivable as the boost kicks in as rpms go up, but coupled with 4.10's they are a blast.

It was about 6500 installed. We did 2 cars so we got a bit of a break and 500 rebate back then, so that helped. They are both running 10 psi and very conservative tunes so no gauges needed, with 440 to the wheels. Its enough to get you in trouble nad swing the tail out in 1st 2nd & 3rd.

I have the procharger HO system and I love it. I know that some on this forum are not fans of the procharger, but I felt the install went well, no surprises or problems, car runs great. I am happy with their product.

I can understand that. I guess 'cheap' is a relative term. I was able to purchase my kit complete for around $5300. This included a programmer, new injectors, fuel pump, everything that was needed to complete the job. A friend (who is also a mechanic) and I installed the kit in about 8 hours.

You can purchase the base kit with no tuner, no injectors etc. for less, but you will still have to provide them somewhere along the way. There are used superchargers out there, but are you willing to bolt one up to your baby? I guess thats the tradeoff...

vortech and paxton will be the cheapest, and they are both great kits. the vortech non IC kit from brenspeed looks pretty good.

Get the intercooler. Our cars dont like heat and all the effort and money for the new power goes to waste if you dont keep things cool. Small amount extra when you consider how much you are spending to begin with and will cost alot more if you do later. JMO.
