Hi,

I got a compustar 2way alarm installed on tuesday from the great best buy!

everything work fine on it... maybe a little too much lol

i have a appointement on next wensday to check out my situation but would like to have your opinion.

1- when i arm it, and disarm and make couple query to see the status my dome light and radio goes on (dome light 15 sec i think and radio the factory time) that i can live with that... but after if i leave the car disarm the dash comes on and stay open until i re arm or put the key in the ignition. weird no?

2- the alarm have been triggerd many time... i tought the shock sensor was too high, but no after shutting off the sensor through my remote its getting me always false alarm like some one open my door (door triggered).

every +/- 30 min my car alarm ring for no reason. so for now i keep my alarm to valet mode like this i dont disturb all my neighbors.

did you guys see the second situation before?

i just hope if best buy dont find the problem they will refund me and take back their defective alarm.

The key words being 'best buy'.
Thats the problem
They know nothing about the sofisticated S197 electronics.....

i had the compstar remote start and alarm on my car and its a manual i love it no probloms i did go to an alarm shop tho not best buy

yea i would never trust anything 2 best buy... go 2 a car audio and security specialist

And the purpose of a defeated shut-off valet moded alarm is what????

And a hacked up electrical harness that will never be right to boot.....
I got a bad haircut once.... The refund just didnt cut it.
My hair was still messed up for months.
Your wiring harnesses will be gimped for life...
