Whipple Snout Leak?
After reading up on the other thread about the Whipple snout leak, I decided to take some pictures of mine because I had noticed some oil/grime accumulating from the front of the snout. After taking the pictures, I have cleaned off the snout and am planning on seeing what happens in the next couple of weeks. The oil level seems fine, it is just below half way which is the level I have always remembered it to be at since install.
So what do you think guys? Should I send some pics to Whipple and see if I need a replacement? http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...ippleleak5.jpg http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...ippleleak2.jpg http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...ippleleak1.jpg http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/q...ippleleak3.jpg |
Looks like it was leaking. Mine doesn't have any kind of grime.
|
With that investment, I would contact Whipple first thing.
Send them some pics, find out what's up immediately. |
I send them the pics and see what they say.

Im sure they will take care of you properly. It is, afterall, a large, reputable company.
|
definitely should help get your problem fixed for you. maybe you should ease up on the power level and run slower et's so i can catch up ;) think that might help
|
definately keep an eye on it. i am watching mine as well. i'm sure whipple will take care of it if it is a leak.

Your gonna need a new snout. But good news American they'll (Whpple) stand behind their product. Your gonna have to pay for a the snout but should be refunded once you return the old snout to them.

When mine let go I had oil spray up into my hood liner.I don't think you would want to wait too long on this. That stain sure looks suspicious. They treated me great.-D

Just fixed mine 2 weeks ago. If it's leaking, Whipple will send you a new one. Call them, have your serial number ready.
good luck |
