I guess we would run 5w-30 because the only other choice is 10w-30. They say you can go 15,000 miles between oil changes or 1 year. Which ever comes first but.....they also say if your car is within warranty, follow your owner's manual recommendations.

Our GT's call for 5W20 but a few here use 5W30. I prefer Amsoil oil and filter in my Stang but I'd be ok with Mobil1 (which I use in my SUV with a M1 filter) and I have a few vehicles with over 150,000 miles (and some with over 215,000), some using dino and others M1. Use what you're comfortable with.

I change both the Stang and the SUV at 8,000 - 10,000 miles only because I'll do runs over 100 MPH with the Stang and I tow with the SUV. Otherwise, I'd go beyond 10,000 miles.

im running the 5w-30 castrol edge right now. I got a great deal on it at Autozone, 5 quarts and a KN oil filter for around $40. I dont plan on going over 8k miles though

honestly im probably going to run whatever synthetic is on sale when it comes time to change my oil. i dont have any brand loyalty
