Default Does this wheel and tire combo make sense?

Hello,
I'm in the process of deciding on new wheels and tires. I've decided on staggered 18x10 and 18x9 black deep dish bullets.

I'm looking at getting them with Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z II Tire (255/45-18) on the front and Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z II Tire (275/40-18) on the rear.

My question is, will this give me roughly the same sidewall height that I have on my stock 07 fanblades? Anything else I should consider? The car will be lowered just slightly on Roush Rear Springs.
Also, for just over $1300 with TPMS sensors installed, is this a decent deal?
Thanks all!

I had the stock 18" fanblades and went to 275/40/18's all around and only had to make a minor change with my tuner to adjust the speedometer. Without the adjustment, you're speedometer will read about 3.3 MPH too fast. Here's a link to a tire comparison website that'll give you the approx differences...

I went with the Sumitomo HTR ZII 275/40/18 and they are great tires. I put a picture up on american muscle. Red mustang on there with the steeda wheels under the sumitomo tires. There great tires, and a huge improvement over stock. Just remember there summer only specific tires.

As said all you have to do to change the speedometer is use a tuner and change revs per mile.

if you don't have a tuner and are concerned about the 3+ MPH difference, the 45's will put you about 1 MPH faster than the stockers on the speedo.

WOW! I thought i was the only one with Sumitomo tires! I had those tires since Oct 08 and they haven't giving too many problems. Wear is minimal even though i drive over the speed limit most of the time.

Cool. Thanks everyone. I don't mind my speedo being off by 3 or so MPH but will my Odometer be affected? I don't want to mess with that...
Thanks again!

You got the fronts right.

But, you should get 285/40/18 on the rear wheels to match the stock overall diameter.
275/40 would be shorter than the fronts and it would look wrong IMO.

Now if you want to go for a better look, and that's what I did, consider getting 295/45.

Thats not a bad deal but like someone said go with 285/40 rears, thats what I have and they are exactly stock height so no speedo/odom problems.
