Mine makes a chuckle every time I go into my driveway or go over some washboard spots on a road. Another friend of mine with an 08 says his makes noises like that too. Welcome to the club.

I'm not going to bother fixing it.

that sucks man. I hope you get that figured out.

i have a dealer like that by me, total scumbags! Got any friends that are mechanics, or know a trustworthy one?

I had a huge knocking noise in my jeep, turns out i snapped the ball joint on a piece that controls body sway. irritating as hell....

Yeah Mishri's 07 doesn't do it either. Apparently some do and some don't.

It's not a safety issue from what I've read so fixing it is pretty much optional. If it bugs the crap out of you then by all means go ahead.

My 2006 with just under 52K miles does not do it. I live down a very rough dirt road too!

thanks for your replies! i am going to take it to a dealer that is about 20 miles from me that i know has dealt with this issue before. i found this out tonite thru a local mustang forum. i checked the strut top mount and the bolts that are up thru the tower are gold so i think that means that the dealer i bought the car off of actually did the tsb back in dec. 07.

Usually if you only hear a single "thunk", it's the upper strut mounts. If you hear a chuckle that travels from front to rear, that's the end links. Those end links, seriously, tighten the hell outta them.
