dealer screwed me today

My Story...
My '06 GT had the "loose lumber" chuckle. The first time I fixed it, I replaced the original "silver stud" strut mounts with the gold stud, TSB mounts. A year later the "chuckle" came back. I decided to try the GT500 mounts however, they are not designed for the GT so they didn't fix the noise (evidently due to different spring rates between the GT and GT500). So then I tried the Steeda HD strut mounts and they didn't fix it either. Finally, I bought another set of the TSB mounts (which are now "black stud" by the way), installed them and the loose lumber chuckle was completely gone. Never once did I find that my sway bar end links were loose. My problem was always in the strut mounts.

I have a 06 with 61k and have had no problems. But I plan on lowering my car soon so I was going to change them at that time.
My friend has an 07 and had the "noise" and they put GT500 strut mounts in his car under warranty. He had already purchased GT500 strut mounts and ended up giving them to me.
FYI - The GT500 strut mounts have green studs....at least mine do.

maybe i should just take it back to the dealer where i bought it and did the tsb back in dec. 07. then try to explain this to them about a newest tsb with strut mounts being black stud. my problem is i KNOW there service sucks BUT i did go to court for them twice so they can get there money back from the salesman they fired.

I have 2- 05 gt the coupe had the tsb fixed at Ford got it back the noise was still their, brougt it to the shop tighten the sway bar links on the coupe the noise was gone and never came back. The vert started to make the same noise after a few months tighten the sway bar link nuts and the noise is gone. I have done the same to some custumers cars with the same results. You have to hold the stud and tighten the nut. Hope this helps you.
