Cleaning the inside of your wheels
#11
I remove mine once every two months and clean them at the same
time I rotate them. And a coat of wax helps prevent future buildups
of dirt/grime/brake dust.
Clean and even wearing tires/rims are happy tires/rims.
I also wash out the fender wells by hand while I have the tires removed.
And dont forget under the door jambs.
Bottom of the bumpers. Rubber door weathstrips.
Or the inside of the trunk lid jamb as well.
All sorts of stuff likes to collect there.

What do you do about that? Use caliper paint on it? It bothers me, too.
I had a set of wheels on my truck that were painted gloss gray on the inside from the manufacturer. When I got them I thought it was odd, but they sure were easier to keep clean, and it made the wheel look better from the outside because you didn't have the reflections showing through the spoked area. It just defined the style of the wheel better. I've thought about doing that to my chrome Mustang aftermarket wheels except using black.

Cleaning chrome wheels is hard enough, especially during Summertime when its 90+ degrees...seeing how dirty it is back there is very disheartening LOL kudos to those of you who take the time to clean that part

I clean mine after every drive/cruise/show etc.
It makes a huge difference for those with chrome rims and IMO if you have very easily seen thru rims you should do this with every wash to say the least....JMO
Seems members either do it or don't as they score the highest so far

On this car I used black caliper paint, just bacause I bought black and red to do my brakes. Normally I would use Rust-Oleum (sp) semi gloss. You can do the vane area of the rotors too, then when you look into the wheel you don't see any rusted parts.
