Default V3 Owners....A bit of Advice....

Hey Group,

For those that are running the newer self contained Vortech, pay attention to the instructions from Vortech that suggests doing the initial lubricant change at 2500 Miles. I changed mine today at about 2000 Miles. This is what it looked like....

Also, I assumed that the bottles of lubricant supplied by Vortech were 4 ozs., but since it is obviously too much trouble to mark them as such, I did measure them, and they are.....

After measuring and changing the lubricant, I couldn't figure out for the life of me why the level on the dipstick was showing full on one side of the dipstick, but only showing half full on the other..... Then I finally discovered that the dipstick had a bit of a bend in it from the factory. Straightened it out, and now it registers properly........When 4 oz. is full, it only takes a bit of a tweak to throw it off....

DO YOUR INITIAL FLUID CHANGE!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I only have 1000 miles on the blower so far, so I still have a little ways to go... The discoloration doesn't surprise me considering how hot the blower gets.
