Default What type of wax to use on vinyl?

So I was planning on waxing my stripes today, and I've heard you're supposed to use a liquid wax. So I went to the store and bought some liquid wax called "Meguiar's Gold Class Liquid Wax". I got back home and read on the bottle and it said "Do not put on vinyl, or non-painted surfaces". So what wax SHOULD I use?

Pure carnauba wax...or anything that doesn't say not for use on vinyl.

Even the Meguiar's Hi-Tech Yellow Wax, "Made with the highest grade Brazilian Number One Yellow Carnauba Wax" says "KEEP OFF VINYL, RUBBER AND CLOTH SURFACES."

I don't know whether they intend this to include striping or not. I suggest you telephone or email Meguiar's and ask them if the product you already have is safe for striping. If not, ask them what they suggest.

Armor All is safe for vinyl, but there is a warning not to use it on paint!

optimum spray wax. i use it on my fog light covers and it leaves no residue but keeps them looking new. i use it on everything from rims to trim, so easy to use and it protects well too.

I believe when they say vinyl they mean like trim, plastic etc I think it would be fine for stripes.

Default Turtle Wax "ICE"

Turtle wax "ICE" is a synthetic wax but you can use it on everything from paint to plastics to vinyl. Its about $16 a bottle but well worth it IMO.

optimum spray wax is about the same price but you have to order it online, and is far superior

That would be my recommendation except I'd contact the stripe manufacturer and get their recommendation. No sense ruining a nice stripe job. Otherwise, ICE is recommended to be used on plastic trim.
