New rims and tires are on the way.
Well my order finally went through. I should get my new Black Deep Dish Bullets and Nitto Invo tires on Monday. They have the tpms sensors in them. So can I just take it to the dealer to have them program them? Or should I buy that tool for $15 and do it myself?

I didn't bother with the TPMS and the light hardly ever turns on. I think the dealer will charge you more than $15, so I would just do it yourself. What size wheels and tires did you get?
|
I would find out what Ford charges to program the new TPMS sensors and if it's more than $15 I'd do it myself.

i'm so glad the 06's dont have the sensors... i think it seems like a pain

Well I just went to Ford to ask. The guy said he would reprogram my new wheels for free for me, said it only takes a minute.
I'm getting 18x9 with Nitto Invo tires 255-45-18 for the front and 18x10 with Invo 275-40-18 for the rear. |
Very nice. I just ordered the black bullets for my black stang too. I got 9 inch rims with 275/40/18s all around though. They should be here any minute actually. I'm just waiting for UPS. I also got the TPMS installed and was going to buy the tool from American Muscle but I guess I'll try my ford dealer first. Good luck with your wheels. Can't beat black black rims on a black car. (IMHO)

just out of curiosity, what exactly does the TPMS sensor do?
|
they monitor your air pressure...

Its about time.....lol I was getting tired of looking at those stock bullets. :) Congrats man.

when i picked up my gt500 takeoffs, i drove 25 miles trouble-free, then i got the dreaded tpms error light every 10 minutes. i was like ****!, so i went to the dealership and they took care of it all for free. took less than 5 minutes.
