This is my DD so it will be used virtually everyday. Nope, NT555.

KDWs are a popular choice. Centri s/c's ftw!

Agreed - Take a look at a Nitto drag radial (305/40-18) rear - I use these and have much better traction.

OK, don't laugh....how many miles should a person average on drag radials if the car doesn't drag race or go around roasting tires?

Depends on the DR. Nittos are known to last twice as long as MTs. But the MTs are alot better.

So give me an idea here. Would I be looking at 12,000 mile pit stops for tires? 30,000?

I took a look, and it looks like they don't have the size for the DR

255/45-18

So it looks like I have to go wider in the back if indeed I get something like this.

What is the widest I can put in the back with the following specs:

Size: 18x9
Back Spacing: 6.6" (167mm)
Offset: +40mm (1.6")

You could go with my plan....do nothing until the current set wears out. I'm sill sporting 17" stockers wrapped in P-Zero's.

When those wear out I'll get the size wheels & tires I really want.
