Default are aluminum wheels repairable?

is there a way to repair deep scratches on the lip of an aluminum rim?
the monkey who was fixing my flat tire scratched the rim with his f*&^$ tools when mounting the tire.
I have stock 18" polished aluminum rims (07gt)

Yes, they can be fixed, usually scratches can be sanded out and wheel repolished. Try www.rimfix.com I heard they are good.

You need to make a formal complaint to the management at the shop where the damage was done and make them pay for the repairs. The minimum cost is going to be $150. Where are you located?

It definitely can be fixed.
Things a lot worse than scratches can be repaired...
I use Turbax in my area.
I gave them wheels that were missing chunk of aluminum and they came back remachined and repainted. Never knew...

Even a cracked alum wheel can be fixed if done right.
