Feelings can be deceptive. Not to mention the fact that the driver can make all the difference. You and your neighbor probably aren't real used to driving that thing. Takes experience to get the most out of a car.
ya riptide i gotta agree with u completely lol in most cases it ends up being driver error for the loser. btw i know my 09gt can beat up on stock srt8 chargers. and my car is pretty much stock. off topic and different vehicle just throwing it out there..
i know wat ur saying check their forums but they are biased the magazine drivers arent, also how many ppl are great drivers and run 12s with little to no mods (you)
Magazine drivers don't drive the car as often and don't track the car nearly as often as an owner does. Take that and couple it with experience driving cars on a track for years and you'll get better times than they do. A timeslip doesn't lie. An owner certainly can but proving that is a tough one.
Ofcourse their forums might be biased but so is this one. If we want to play that game then everyone here who reports better than magazine times on their stock cars must be a liar then right? See where that leads to?
It wouldn't take much to beat the Challenger. They are so much heavier. An intake and tune would probably do it, but a Vortech V3 H/O a Saleen would also do the trick. You would actually destroy it.
Exactly. And the s197 isn't exactly a light car either. It weighs upwards of 3400 pounds and has only 300hp @ the crank. The R/T for instance weighs around 300 more but has another 75hp.
not even close. At Atco the RT';s are barely in the 13's. Most mid 14's
