I agree, I really hate how roughly the exact same part is sometimes as much as twice as much for S197's just bc they are newer, really chafes me!

Hey there VanWilder...no such animal, they are all rediculously overpriced IMO ..!! Anyway, I have a 4" Powerhouse One Piece Aluminum Drive Shaft and am very happy with it at this point , so let me share some experiences with you here that you should be aware of ...!! In short, some Aluminum DS's will have a balance problem (bad vibrations), others will interfer with some makes of shifters, while some will hit and rub at the top of the DS tunnel. And, since you are lowered, you will definately need to spend some more $$$ and install an adjustable Upper Control Arm to properly set your pinion angle (a Must) or it will shake like crazy. So, be carefull here and take your time...... Just don't buy any cheap one, for the sake of getting it, or you will regret it, believe me...!!! This can potentially be one of the most frustrating Mods for us....!! I'm sure you will get alot of good input here...so, Good luck and keep us posted....

I got my Shaftmasters for $425 shipped by just calling them on the phone. Its a 4" though, so not sure it would work if you're lowered. I have no vibration or anything, I'm very pleased with it.
