Cool Ford Racing Aluminum 5.4L Wet Sump Block

Just curious if anyone has decided to build an all aluminum 5.4L blown V8 to swap in. It looks like Ford finally decided to offer a usuable block similiar to the one used in the Ford GT.

Ford Racing's website lists part # M-6010-GTWS for $3,999

As basically a Ford GT block machined for a wet sump block face modular oil pump and modular wet sump oil pan. It also includes the stock modular starter pocket.

So my question is, do we now have a bolt in option for an all aluminum 5.4L motor? Because if so this is 100lbs lighter than a cast iron 5.4 block. If you drop one of these all aluminum in a GT, you will have one fast car a hundred pounds or so lighter than a GT500.

Thoughts, ideas, issues, any feedback welcome at this point

This is one combo among plenty others, to make a GT go fast.
Not the cheapest of course...

This would be good to do this on a V6 platform, where you'd start from scratch and go all out.

Good point, I just like the idea of an all aluminum 5.4L. Maybe it's me getting nervous about starting to encounter the new Camaro's....LOL

A supercharger will take care of that Camaro, if it scares you that much...
But a 5.4 blown will always be cooler
