+1 on Kumho Ecsta SPT's! I have them now and they grip very well. Also very very nice in the rain. I feel just as planted as when its dry. Like any summer tire, theyre junk when its cold, but this time of the year theyre plenty sticky. 285/35/19 rears is what I'm running.

I would get either Nitto NT 555R Drag Radials, 285s will work, people have put up to 305 on these rims. I'm just glad I have the 17" rims.. i can get the 275s and they cost like $100 less.. you might consider getting some 17" take offs for like $50 each and save money

Personally, I plan on getting M&Hs, they just started making 18" tires

thats a 275/45/18 and should fit you fine

I also plan on using those on my DD during the summer (going back to stock tires for the winter, or maybe some winter tires) Just don't use cruise control when the roads are wet and be careful with the gas in the rain and you should be fine.

Cruise control isn't the problem. The problem is the tread depth is barely street legal when new and down right dangerous after a few thousand miles. Good luck and keep it under 45 on wet roads.

The SPTs are a great tire with good traction on launch. You won't get drag radial performance on any tire that has decent wet traction however, at least not any that are cheap. The SPTs are a good blend of stickiness, along with plenty of tread and good wet weather performance.

I've been very happy with my Nitto 555s but when I bought them I also put them on 10" wheels. I think the added 1.5" is most of the added traction I feel but still, the tires seem to hold very well. I can still slide the car but it always stops right where I want it to.

All I know is with my stock wheels & tires the car felt like is could loose control at any moment if I got too excited and now it feels super planted.

I like the NITTO 555s but the guys at the dealership i work at said that i wont get more than a summer out of them. I do like the kumho's quite a bit, what is the biggest size I can safely put on the stock fanblades , for all four wheels?

I just put four Nitto Invo 255/50ZR17's on my 07. I have an automatic, Steeda CAI, and a Brenspeed 93 tune. With the stock tires, if I went WOT from a dig, the tires would spin all the way through 1st, half way through 2nd, and chirp third. With the Invo's, they don't spin at all. And they work great in the rain. Also, with the stock tires, I was always afraid to really punch it going around a corner because the tires would break loose and the rear end would come way out. The Invo's are much harder to break loose, and when they do break loose, I don't feel like the car is going to swap ends like I did with the stock tires.

I paid $149 each for them at Discount Tire after a $40 rebate for a set of 4. If you search around the internet, you can find them cheaper than that.

i have the riken's, had them on the rear after I got the blower... worthless w/ 3.55s when the boost hit

I now run DRs on the rear 265/40s, the stock 18s are 8.5 wide, a softer tire will not last as long - a fact. you want traction your gonna run thru tires /story

the Nittos will last 12-15K miles depending on your right foot and are the best compromise IMO for traction and tread life

after reading a few reviews I think that I'm going to go with the INVO's size 255-45-18 all around. thanks for the input. If anybody else has experience with the INVO's please let me know what you think!
