Default pass

Ok, drove 230 miles to the track with 3 adults and a trunk full of junk with a 23.7 mpg with the air on. The humidity was a bitch also
60' 2.02
330 5.65
1/8 8.650
mph 82.16
1000 11.25
1/4 13.45
102.18 mph
What I realy learned is my tuner is screwed I cannot change the gear ratio from 3.27 to 3.90 which kills the performace of the car. Here is the proof last year we made a couple of 1000 foot passes without the drag radials udps, throttlebody,or the 3.90 gears
60' 2.10
330' 5.58
1/8 8.90
mph 81
1000 11.34
92mph
It was very apperant the car was running out of fuel at the top end of each gear change you could feel it just slow down. So what were are doing is trying to buy a used sct off the forum and send it to breenspeed to have the tunes loaded and try it again.
I will say everyone I meet and talked with the mods we have believes the car should be in the12'7-12'8 range. I hope to have it squared away and we can do round to quickly before i wear the drag radials out driving on the street.

You are going to need alot better of a 60' than a 2.02 to get a 12.7. What do you anticipate your trap speed should be? How is the fuel being effected by the gear ratio? I was always under the impression that the engine parameters are based off rpms and independent of the rear end gearing. Maybe autos are different?

Default how

Here is the real holdup. I have a sct tuner with custom tunes for a 3.73 gear. In the adjustable parametiers I had set the gear ratio to 3.31 before installing the gears When I got done putting the gears in and went to select the correct gear from the tuner the upper scroll button on the tuner has quit working so now we have a 3.90 gear ratio and the tuner set at 3.31 which changes everything. I hope to have the problem corrected pretty quick.
If you notice there is very little differrent in the 2 runs I posted. You would think a gear change alone would have made a bigger differance not to mention the drag radials.
