Look through this as i think it will give you enough idea of how to do it maybe. Not sure though.

Hey....it seems as though you have the same problems I've been having with mine.....my cable popped about 2 months ago......I pulled the stang up on some ramps and applied the emergency brake and POW!.....it looks as though mine popped at the very back end....the little ball looking fitting at the end of the cable popped off.....where did yours break at...and where did you get the replacement cable......I took mine into the shop and it's not covered under my warranty....they wanted $395 to fix it

All info is there Wendy.

Any of these are what you're after part # wise from any parts store that would carry FORD stuff, you can get it a bit cheaper from an online vendor of course:
6R3Z2780C - old part #
9R3Z2780B

Newest replacement part # to date is: 9R3Z2780B
Likely find it a few places for much cheaper should the cost be an issue, ebay, buy, for sale sections (many still replace with GT500 version), etc..
Best "new" FORD parts place to get from I've seen is Tousleyfordparts.com

TacoBill has you covered (as usual) for a walk-thru:

Btw..The GT500 version with leather you might find cheaper, or for just a few bucks more. The part #'s:
9R3Z2780A
FRP M-2302-C

If you havent figured it out, there's a nut that you turn in and out to get the slack out...but as I type this I figured out since the cable's snapped, you already have plenty of slack.

BTW - how HARD are you guys pulling on these cables to snap them? Seriously I've seen a lot of guys yankin on their parking brake like their trying to rein in a 300 lbs rottweiler. You don't have to pull them that hard.
