Solutions for throttle lag?
#31
Thanks, 157.
To the other question
At stock-ish power levels, mostly the car would just "feel" a little livelier without really being any faster. There might be a tiny advantage in a race from a roll, but it would be more difficult to hold the car right on the hairy edge of traction limits (whether you're at them because you have lots more power than stock or because you're cornering that hard and using most of the tire grip laterally).
I think that the tunes that go to WOT more aggressively do this very same thing electronically, and FWIW the mfrs have been playing around with rates of actual throttle movement vs pedal motion since the days of purely mechanical throttle linkages - specifically because it makes the car feel peppier.

My bamachips tune took away most of the lag and mine is worse than most because my car is automatic. I read an old thread a while back about someone who took the pedal assembly apart and moved some copper wires that touch to initiate the throttle. He put them a few millimeters closer together, and he says he successfully took away ALL throttle lag. I'll try to dig it up for you
