Default Rattle under passenger side dash area, fix?

I have a rattle when going over large bumps coming from the dash (large plastic piece) right above the passenger side air vent. When I push down firmly on the dash the rattle will go away.

Anyone ever had a rattle there? What is the best way to fix this?

I though it was coming from the door, I was wrong.

You may want to make sure that it is not your mirror vibrating. The mirror was vibrating for me and it sounds like it is coming from just that spot. There was a really good write up on how to fix the vibrating mirror ( a screw comes loose inside). I hope it is something simple.

Thanks for the suggestion, I read that thread yesterday. All 3 nuts holding the mirror in place were tight. I wish the mirror was causing the rattling/vibration.

I have read another post a long long while back, a guy removed trim pieces of the dash and put in pieces of felt before reassembling and that solved certain vibration issues.

I notice my dash vibrate in cold weather.

+1, just get a loud exhaust, but in all seriousness... usually felt will do the trick, sometimes u might need a couple peices... im not sure exactly which peice u r talking about, r u talking about the black vent on the underside of the dash? or the aluminum molding around the A/C vent?
