that sucks dude, when I had my tires mounted on the new wheels, I told them i was gonna be a picky bastard. They said they reversed mounted them, which i think most places do for higer end wheels.

Vasaline and rubber dont play well together.
Read a condom package and it will all be clear to you....
The rubber will degrade well before its time.
Pure Silicone lube is safe for all types of rubbers.

maybe the screw on holder on the balancer that is cup shaped is what caused the damage. i imagine if i go there they will not let me in the building to see what caused the damage. they are located over an hour from me. BTW the price on these wheels for 18x10 & 18x8.5 are $306 & $300 each.

lol

i was taught never to use vasalene when doing a tire change, just a soap water solution and the tire slides right on the rim

the vasaline was on the CENTER CAP o-ring that holds the cap to the wheel. glad i made someone smile, cause i haven't lately. i have a construction company doing my bathroom. started in dec., didn't level floor for tub, bottom of tub was off the ground so they sprayed expansion foam under tub. well, 2 months later the foam is eating up thru the bottom of tub and turning the tub base orange. they ordered new tub, installed it and didnt level it and water ran out on the floor when you got a shower. it was tilted down 3/8". they came out again and leveled it using shims and now they damaged the tub in the process, but i can take a shower now. so now i have the third new tub and surround in a box in my garage. and now i find my damaged wheels. BTW, I got laid off work cause doctor screwed up my knee surgery in oct. but i am still on workmans comp cause of excess scar tissue and knee pain. YOU THINK YOU GOT BAD LUCK!! and there's more!!!
