Default A question about hoodscoops and water...

Hey Everyone-

I recently picked up a Trufiber SVT Hood for my 2005 GT. I like the hood, but it just hit me- won't water get in the engine compartment?

SO I'm wondering- will water get in the engine compartment if I install this hood? That would be really bad...

I'd love to- but I don't wanna put a hood on my car that would be harmful to her. I need my question answered first. My stang is my DD, so I can't do anything that would jeopardize her.

I had the Cervini Ram Air 1171 hood and never had problems with the scoops being open. Now I have the Techco hood with the heat extractors and again no problems. My car is also a DD and I have driven it through terrible thunderstorms as well as snow with no problems. The engine bay does get dirtier but no problems with the water.

Get that hood on and post pics!

Ok- that makes me feel a lot better. Its raining today (agh) but as soon as nice weather comes around, I'll be sure to throw up some pics.
