my car is a clunky, rough rattletrap. HALP!
Over the years (4 years of ownership) my car has developed an innumerable number of rattles, including both door handles, air vents, shift boot, squeaky seat, some obnoxious and LOUD trunk rattle, and others. in addition, my shifter/transmission has become extremely clunky, and my suspension is a nightmare over bumps.
these problems became more apparent to me after riding in a friend's 2006 GT.
heres what i'm looking for
1) HELP WITH THE RATTLES!!!! is there any way to make it stop??? I rode in my friend's 2006 Mustang GT and its SILENT.
2) does the clunkiness have to do with the car being lowered?? is that a possibility? i'm thinking about "un-lowering" it. the transmission is noisy and clunky as ****, its obnoxious. will a k-member brace/torque limiters help this?
3) if i replace the shocks/struts with TOkico d-specs, will my suspension be quieter, and will i not have to tense up before bumps?
i'm no longer under warranty btw.
it just feels like my whole ****ing car is falling apart.

well without being specific at all...
-i changed my shocks/struts the same time as lowering
-tighten all nuts and bolts under your car, check for damaged bushings
-grease all poly bushings
-put dynamat behind every panel and crevice that is rattling
-get a new driveshaft
-get new strut mounts if you have the ones that came in your 2005
my car has 0 rattles/thunks/clanks etc as of right now with 33,000mi.

I have done nothing to my car at all and the only issue I have is this load grinding sounding piece of shyte 5-speed tranny that Ford says is within "acceptable" noise level range..........Other than that I like the car, because of that it's gettin traded for a 2010.
