I am so sorry. I am sure you are sick cuz I know that I would be. Glad your wife is OK though.

hawgman

Well, I have posted SEVERAL TIMES about my opinion of someone's wife driving their car so I will let that one be.

Excuse me, but in this family it is the wife that drives the Mustang! Although, I must admit that 95% of women cannot drive. Sorry to say about my gender, but it's true.

Kathy
Not trying to speak for hawg here, but if you have read his other posts, I believe you would see that if the stang belonged to his wife, he wouldn't drive it.

Ok guys and gals....it's bad...really bad... These pictures were sent to me by a friend taken with a phone canera, not the best quality. I got tears in my eyes when I saw them. The impact was pretty hard, notice how the driverside rear quarter got creased. I'm hoping the insurance company totals it, I doubt it thoug.

1Fast05GT !!!

THAT brought tears to my eyes dude!

I also hope for you they total it. BUT - being as new as it is they won't unless it cost more to fix it then bluebook value.

They will probably fix it, then you will probably trade it in on an 06.

I'm sorry to say but that is most likely not going to be a total. Total a car, most companies want the damage to = 75% - 85% of the cost of the car.

My 1st 05 had much more extensive damage than that, and it wasn't a total by too much.

My advice for you is to take the car to a body shop that works directly with Ford, and will use Ford parts. Don't just go to the place your insurance recomends. Most of the time the places insurance companies recomend don't use Ford parts, and thus saves the insurance companies money, but shorts you on quality.

Good Luck on a timely repair.
