Car Going Crazy Part 2!
Hey guys, thanks for all your input yesterday. At this point I'm going to say that either my battery or alternator is screwed. My power to my car is sometimes weak and when I turned it on this morning it made kind of a sucking or hissing noise from under the dash of the driver's side and my gauges took about 3 seconds to light up and move. Should I just take it to the local Pepboys or something? I know they usually offer a free battery diagnostics. Sorry I'm not too educated on the eletrical parts of the car and I don't like messing with eletricity when I don't know what I'm doing!

i would buy an optimum battery if it is the batt i would have someone test it so you know for sure but it is an 05 so if it is original batt then it a good chance it is the batt

alternators going bad can do wierd wierd things. I had an alternator go bad on me while driving a cavalier, all gauges swept full right then full left in a cascade across the dash from left to right. The do0rs started locking and unlocking themselves among other things.
Take it somewhere, have them check the battery and the alternator. Its Optima batteries btw.
