the way that google ads work, is that it looks for keywords...if people didnt talk about the camaro on this site so much, the banners for the car wouldnt show up so much. the fact that this thread was made and continues will effectively make it show up more.
gm is marketing the camaro hard, everywhere...and their key ad campaigns are on non-camaro sites like this one, and my dodge site. we get these complaints at many of the sites. at the dodge site right now, were getting a ton of chevy truck ads in there...at least here, the camaro is a decent car to check out..chevy trucks are complete trash.

And as I was reading your post, there was an ad for the Chevy Traverse.

Muscle cars are built by owners, Solid rear axle, cams, pipes, headers, intakes,... a million parts for gear heads. Don't get me wrong the Camaro is a power car in the right trim but start out +8K compared to a GT doesn't leave the working man much cash to make it his own. In my eyes a Camaro is a scaled down Vet (not a bad thing) just not Muscle.

I agree the premium is a bit to swallow, but using that as a reason that its not a muscle car seem unreasonable. Also, why would you think owners of the new camaro wouldn't be building them up? I'm sure they will have a strong gear head following just like our mustangs.

Oh yeah, Solid rear axle does not equal muscle car. It just equals old technology. IRS is the right way to go if ford can ever get it right (price being a major hindrance).

I'm 50+ so may be we have different perspectives. IRS is great but you don't see many at the strip. Short of cosmetics and tunes there likely isn't going to be that much available. Volume drives the after market. A Camaro badge doesn't take it back to their glory years. Didn't Mustang drop IRS with the S197 body.

No Script helps as well from those flash and java ads that slow load times.
