Get it done, you have nothing to worry about. This won't take them more then 30-45 minutes...

There is really nothing to mess with when it comes to an 5spd tranny.
Very simple, unbolt it and thats it, comes right out.
I feel your fear when dealing with the dealer, believe me you have no idea my background, but when it come to the tranny...a monkey could take a 5 spd in and out.

Get it done, get rid of the problem and your be good.

How many miles do you have?

We just had this done to the GT that we recently acquired, built in May 2006. The dealer installed a new separator plate, it fixed the problem.

We noticed this noise just after picking the car up. It did have the 2 bolts installed. Before I let the local dealer pull the transmission, I crawled under the car, pried the plate away from the bell housing a bit, and put a bead of RTV gasket between the bell housing and plate, then put the 2 bolts back in. This made no difference in the cold startup buzz.

Not sure if I have this issue with my 06 GT. Is this a Buzzzzz sound or more of a "Tic" "Tic" "Tic" sounds for the first few minutes? My "Tic" goes away when it warms up or when I depress the clutch.

its a TSB, so if you need the plate replaced, the labor will be free of charge.

but since your an auto, you would have to look for other TSB's because its for manual transmissions only, i think its just a GT thing as well because im sure there are different transmissions between v6 and v8.

good luck though
