Default Mustangtuning.com did alright

As some of you know, I ordered my car on November 10, 2004. Well, it wasn’t until May 20 that I picked up my car. During my wait I ordered some parts from Mustang Tuning.com to include an SCT X-Calibrator. Well it turns out that when my mechanic installed my mods (4.10’s, Steeda CAI and Cat-backs) he went to install the flash and the car would not accept it. Boy, what a great disappointment especially after having to wait for so long.

I called Mustang Tuning.com and told them what had happened. According to Mustang Tuning.com, Steeda had dropped the ball by sending the wrong tune and providing erroneous information that among other things could have destroyed my car’s computer. Mustang Tuning.com were very apologetic, nonetheless I had an X-Calibrator in my possession that was useless.

I chose Mustang Tuning.com because of the good things I had heard in this forum but I felt very disappointed with them. One of the reps in Mustang Tuning.com heard my dilemma, apologized and handled the problem in a manner that showed me that they care about their customers. He offered me an upgraded version (X-Calibrator II) with the correct tune and assured me that I will not be held liable for any shipping or handling fees.

As far as I am concerned and based on the manner that they solved my issue, I will continue to be their customer and will be recommended to others. I thought that it was only fair that you guys know about this

P.S.
I finally installed my 4.10’s Borla Cat-backs and Steeda CAI. Now, just waiting on a tune.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for posting that story. It's good to hear about a vendor that goes the extra yard to keep a customer happy. I've bought a few things for my car from them as well in anticipation of my car. Its good to hear that they stand by their customers.

I've only purchased an antenna from them so far, hehe. Woohoo, it works! I guess I could've gotten one elsewhere but I was directed to MTc by good words here at MFc and it's great to hear they are taking care of their customers in crisis. I'll look to them again in the futeure, no doubt.

Certainly the world isn't perfect and things go wrong. While this may seem like an obvious statement there appear to be many people who don't understand this one. It is good to know that there are vendors who will accept responsibility for thier mistakes though..

I agree... MustangTuning has done right by me. I've dropped almost $1200 with them, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

MT was great to work with for me as well. I've only purchased several accessories, but they were quick to respond when I had a question, and no issues at all.
