Default Thinking about buying 2010 but...

I am not a mustang owner but I like the new 2010s and thinking about a 2010 GT. But I have heard rumors that this 2010 generation is merely a "Band Aid" until Ford does a "real" redesign in 2012. Is this rumor true? Or is Ford simply going to add models to the 2010 generation like the 5.0 or EcoBoost?

There won't be another redesign to atleast 2014, the 2011 models are going to get new engines the 5.0 is pretty much confirmed but mixed signals on the EcoBoost as of now.

Maybe you better get one now before they screw the future design up.

yes, the 2010 takes care of lots and lots of issues we've had with the 2005-2009's, except for the engine.
2011 should take care of the engine.
But with the new MPG requirements I have a feeling they will have to bury the V8 and go with a twin turbo V6 in the future.

I thought Ford was going to come out with a 400hp 2010 Mustang?

AaronJ, they probably will. There's still plenty of time for Ford to keep these V8s in the cars before 2016 and the fuel economy rules must be met.

I was reading an article that Oboma wants to pull those into 2012 instead of 2016
