Default Help! Different grill for GT/CS Front Bumper?

Long story short, the front of my GT was backed into and in a typical parking lot hit and run. I ordered a GT/CS front bumper to replace the stock front and it is in the process of being painted at the body shop.

My question is, does the GT/CS front have a different lower grill than the stock GT front? I did not drive the mustang today, and I can not find any good pictures online. When I went over to the body shop to instruct them on how to paint the bumper, I noticed that the honeycomb, air dam looking part on both sides of the lower front of the bumper was not attached.

Sorry for the uninformed post, I just can not remember if the stock Bumper has that grill on the bottom.

Thanks.

You have to buy those separately, and they are spendy like $100 bucks. Other option is to go with the brake ducts from Agent47. You will also need the support piece that goes on the bottom backside of facia to hold the plastic air diffuser. Neither of those pieces came with mine from Ford.

So you are saying that the parts I have circled in the below pic are not part of the stock GT grill, and I need additonal parts for the GT/CS front? I found a couple of pictures that made me think I would not have any issues.

Sorry for being a newb and just putting the link to the pic, but I do not have the option to attach pics when I post.

Thanks.

Any help here would be appreciated. I guess I can always order the two inserts if the stock GT grille does not work after the bumper is painted and installed. I would just like to know so I can order the parts if necessary.

yeh those pieces are different than your stock GT bumper. You'll have to order them separately. did you get the reinforcement piece that goes inside the bottom of the CS facia? If not, you'll need that too.

Well, I called the dealer and those inserts are 70 bucks a piece. I did not order the reinforcement piece, so I guess I will need to order that also. Where exactly does this piece go so I can explain it to the parts guy? And, are these parts necessary to have before I drive away with the bumper installed from the body shop? I would rather just install them myself, but the reinforcement piece sounds kind of necessary.

Steve,

Does that SHR lower grille go all the way across the open are in the bottom bumper? In that picture it looks like the GT/CS left and right inserts are still there, and the SHR just covers the open area in front of the radiator.

Thanks guys.
