Angry So I Got In A Wreck...

Im visiting some family in Nebraska (my cousin got married a few weeks ago) and they wanted me to bring my GT, so I thought ok I will. Well im driving in there little town here and get to a light. Its on a downhill incline, and the lady in front of me in a Chevy Avalanche was turning right, as was I. Well the light turns green and she takes her foot of the break and starts accelerating, so I look left just to make sure there is no idiots on my left coming through the intersection. Little did I know the idiot was in front of me. As I look forward she had (for some reason unbeknownst to me) stopped. Well I hit her in the back before I could hit the break. Her damn chevy is fine, but my hood and front bumper are messed up.

The passenger side of the hood is raised a good 2 inches in the front from the fender. It is still latched and tight so im just going to be VERY careful driving back home and take extra time to make sure the latch stays. The bumper is still connected and everything its just got a nice big gash in it and its out of shape.

So I get to my families house and first thing I do is hop on the internet looking for replacements. Ive decided on the Roush front fascia and a Cervinis Type IV Ram Air Hood. Is there anything I should know about these peices? Are there any problems installing them? I am going to have them painted by my friends paint shop (excellent work) as for some reason the color of my car isnt stocked on any website I can find (Brilliant Silver, hence my name). Think something else might look better? Know of any EXCELLENT prices on the peices I mentioned? Post away! I need your help guys!

May I suggest a GT500 front end conversion and I can help you out on a KR hood if you like.

So what did she say when you asked her why she stopped?

And I quote: "Uhhhhhhh ummmm well my car is fine. You can handle that right?" And turned around and got in her chevy and drove off.

I actually didnt consider a GT500 conversion. Besides what I would already be getting I am assuming I would need GT500 headlights and grille right? Any idea what it would run me for the whole thing?

Call Kevin & ask him. He has the best pricing and can save you better than anyone else. But if you need lights and grilles then you have to weigh it out. You might be able to get a CS bumper from him for cheap if you have your lights still.

Once you open the hood check it out closer, more than likely your upper headlight mount on the side you hit is broke & check your grille out a little closer....been there done that but mine was a hit & run backing into my parked stang.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes. At least the good side is that you can mod it to look better.

GT/CS front would be cheaper than GT500 conversion.

Here's some useful info on accidents:
