Default C&L CAI install question

I just (wendsday) got my C&L CAI and X3 w/ custom tunes

installed the CAI and all with the exeption of the bracket that mounts to the valve cover bolt

I pulled the bolt but found the rubber grommet to be fixed to the bolt such that I couldn't fix the bracket to it

what have ya'll done to fix this?

The C&L Comes with a bolt that doesn't have the rubber grommet in it. That's the one you use.

BTW, it isn't necessary to use that bracket

+1
The elastomeric couplers provide sufficient support to hold everything in place. My CAI has been installed for 4 years w/o the support bracket, and it hasn't budged from day 1.
