Default V6 mustang ride quality.....

If you dont know already the ride quality on a v6 SUKS big time!!! I feel everything when im driving, its worse that riding on low profiles and 20"s.

In order to solve this problem I am about 4 days from ordering new wheels from CruizinConceptsMike they are 18" AR DD black Bullits, I didn't want to get 20's because of 2 things: 1. ride quality wont hardly improve, 2. they are much heavier and harder for a V6 to cope with. Along with appearance, the MAIN reason I am buying them is to (hopefully) get better tires = better ride quality.

The tire I am currently considering is the BFG KDW2 in sizes 285/40/18 and 255/45/18. which equates about 4.5in sidewall. What I really what to know is if this will solve my problem, or are there another brand that will work better for my intentions?

Currently I have stock springs and struts, after they are on Im going to order some ebachi lowering springs.

After you put the springs on it'll be a lot stiffer.
I dropped mine and it is bouncey but I don't mind it.
I'm getting struts and shocks in the near future.

Definetly do the shocks/struts at the same time as the lowering springs. The tires and tire size you chose should make the ride more comfortable.

I rented a V6 convertible auto on my last vacation.
The transmission was acting so bad I never noticed the suspension.

IMO the V6 and V8 cars don't feel ANY different and I have/had 20's on both.

With the new rims/tires it should be the same ride quality, but if you put just springs on later your ride will be more harsh (but you will feel more control).
