Well I dont have a cai, so I am going with "3". When he said it would be 90.00 to remove it I asked him if he could leave it in there so my mileage would be better.
I may make this a new mod for a mpg increase. I am thinking patten

a fly in the MAF sensor? ya i doubt it, i think that this guy is trying to hope u dont know anything about your ride... cause thats just illogical, i guess it could b possible, but very unlikely, maybe u have a tear in ur air filter, u could check that, but for a fly to go past ur grille, around ur radiator and around all that to the little tiny opening port? BS!

cost to check the sensor error - 90.00
cost to remove the fly - 00.00
reading all of these response's - price less

oops, i didn't think about the price for reading the error code (which is still outrageous, imo)

lol, i wonder what the error code was: "error code 82394875 - fly in maf"

So did they at least put the fly in a plastic bag and return it to you?

Wow, that's out there. I find it hard to believe that there was a fly on the maf sensor. I bet they were blowing smoke up your ho-ha if ya know what I mean.

Dude, what the heck were you doing in WYOMING?!?! You live in TEXAS, dangit!!!

Back on topic though, I ran into the same problems while at a high elevation in colorado. I think it has to do with our tunes. I just reloaded the tune and went on my merry way, although it did seem like my car was gasping for air when I got to the tops of the mountains. I couldn't get any power at all in gears 4 or 5.
