New wheels and Tires, what about old ones
This is an update to the 18 v 20 thread,
I got 18s, so I am sorry for all that said 20s were the way to go. I still am worried I made the wrong choice if it makes anyone feel better.
I went with the FR500 chrome 18x10s on all four corners. with Nittos 285/40/18 in the rear and 275/40/18 on the front.
although the shipping weight for each tire, with about 8 pounds of packaging, is above 60 pounds according to Cruizin Concepts if i remember correctly. although I will weigh the fronts and the rears when they come in on the bathroom scale (see going to the gym isn't for nothing).
So what do i do with my old wheels and tires. the 18 5 spoke aluminum OEM wheels and used 235/50/18s. Can i sell them on craigslist or ebay? Would anybody want them? How much are they worth if anything?

Why did you get 18x10 all the way around? To be able to rotate them?
If this was the case, you should have got 18x9, IMO.
Also, with 275/40 on the fronts, your front end will look jacked up without lowering.
Congrats on your purchase, you made the right choice by going with 18's.
Make sure you post pictures when you get them.
To answer your question, I kept my stock wheels and tires, and use them in the winter. But seeing you're from Florida, winter is not an issue for you.

The fronts diameter is .59" smaller than the OEM. Will that really look that different, that .59" could be the difference of air pressure i figured. Anyway the rear tires have about .33" larger diameter than the front, so wouldn't the rear sit just a bit higher?

Right now i can afford new wheels and tires and not the entire Griggs set up. Eventually i am going to get the griggs set up and with it i can fit up to 315s in the front.
I just graduated from college and start work at Honda next month and i finally have the means to start racing which seems to be (from what i understand) encouraged at Honda.
