So if you want to upgrade your pre gen II H/O kit to gen II, here is what you need:

3.125" 6-rib mustang scp $105.29
76 mm idler $40.49
122.3" 6-rib belt $72.89

I also bought a Steeda heavy duty belt tensioner $119.95

The car is much faster than before, almost twitchy, boost comes up very quickly, could be my imagination but the car just seems meaner, like the big cam big block cars of the past.

That would certainly get the boost up, but it would not really make it a GEN II. The GEN II has different internal rotors that make more boost with larger pullies. Still, your method is a definite 12 psi setup.

Your right nine now that I think of it as your not actually changing anything internally on the compressor itself and that design change is what made the S/C more efficient. But I see where Fake was going with it....Im at 11 psi now so I will wait until forged!!! and use the Steeda belt drive as I think that thing is pure sex in the engine bay.....

Steeda belt drive is too much $$ for me. I'll stick with my thump_rrr. Are you peaking at 11psi on a ten pund pulley, because that's where I'm peaking on the stock first gen 3.375. I'm considering 12psi and a new dyno tune...

Yup....10.9 actually but yes it is expensive but I love the function and look of it and to be honest it reminds me of how the Termi's are set up....a belt for the accessories and another belt for the compressor/crank pulley!!!!....absolutely no belt slip andI bet it will come down a bit in price in a yr or 2 when I actually can get forged and up the boost to 16+ psi! Also another reason why I wont do it for 11-13 psi as your right there are bullet proof solutions like the Thumper RRR tensioner that I still love and have not bought anyway.

Hey MYGT500 for some reason posting pics with a mac is a pia but I will look into it. I did not realize that the impellers had been changed. Mike at Whipple did not mention it. He did say there is a new tune that goes with the new kit but it is only worth a few HP. I do get a backfire, or a snap and a pop now and again when I really get on it. This happen to anyone else?
