Default Snow Pony - Mustang in the snow

Hi, so I recently bought a 2005 mustang gt and love the car. But I am a skier, and come winter time, it will be in the snow a lot. Anyone know how they handle/any recomendations as far as tires/chains? Thanks!

I drove my car all winter with some bridgestone blizzaks and a little weight over the rear wheels. It did pretty decently around town, I'm not sure I'd want to attempt any sort of mountain driving up to a ski slope however..

The road to the base of squaw (my home ski mountain) isn't bad at all, but where my house is its pretty hilly. I guess you can always drive slow though.

I have blizzaks on my stock 18" and went though a Chicago winter, had no issues, never felt like it was going to get stuck, as a matter of fact I think it drove better then my GTP did.

all i can say is that the stock pzero's might as well be made of ice, thats the only tire i've had experience with in the snow and on my stang, made it thru one north central indiana winter....i'll have blizzaks next time around thats for sure

okay, sounds like I should be able to manage, I was a bit worried. Any advice on tire chain type?

Not the best vehicle for snow...but manageable. When I think of chains spinning around near those nicely painted fender flares, I start to itch and get dry-mouth. May I offer a possible alternative: www.greendiamondtire.com
I had a friend with a clunker '77 Chevrolet Malibu who traveled some pretty screwed up secondary and small town roads. Had these and it seemed to work well for him.
Good Luck.
