I went with the bassani and catless x pipe, I know the raspy sound I don't like is from the mid pipe for sure, I didn't like the sound before I had the long tube headers with the straight pipes, but I can live with it.

Ive been running close to the same rwhp, for about a year. I consistently beat the hell out of my car at the track (in FL heat). I only run 93 octane. Have my rev limitor set to 6700 rpm, and have bumped it more than once. Have ran a best of 11.32 @ 122.

In theory, I've done everything wrong for engine safety, yet my engine has not blown up.

Everyone hears about the motors that do blow up, no one hears about the ones that don't. The number of motors that hold together greatly out weight those that don't.

I'm not worried, you shouldn't either.

How much louder is the exhaust without the cats? Thats my only reserve on upgrading my exhaust, I don't want it to be loud as hell.

very nice gains, surprise you didn't already have new injectors.

did your boost drop after the header install?

thanks for posting this! most people don't realize that the 3v can handle 500 hp;however, some 3v's do not. i would agree that changing the d/s is a smart idea(OP)

It's pretty damn loud and raspy with out cats, and WOT is even louder but at WOT is sounds amazing. We didn't notice much of a drop off in boost with the headers. As for the drive line I've been running a spydershaft for about 2 years now and it seems to be holding up fine, the clutch however is a different story and is next on the to do list. I'm going to try and get some videos of the exhaust today. (BTW thx for the post AmericanSpeed, glad to head someone else has not had any problems with the 500 mark)
