Airbag light

The other day the airbag light flashed and then stayed on. Of course, the manual said "the passenger restraint system was not ready and the see your authorized service center ASAP" Anyone else had this problem?

You mean on your dash? Or the passenger airbag turned off?

In the dash, I know the passenger one is determined by the weight in the passenger seat.

Have side airbags? Been messing around under your seats lately? Possible knocked the connection loose. Otherwise, see a repair shop.

No side airbags. The seat side panels where the seat adjustment controls are came lose a few days ago. I'll check the connections.

My wife weighs 100 lbs. And as she shifts her weight - that light sometimes comes on. If her feet isn't on the floor of the car, it lights up all the time.

I'm gonna bring it into the dealer and see if they can change the weight that this thing detects someone in the seat. Because, its deactivated 1/2 the time for her riding in the passenger seat.
