Ramps don't work if you need to remove a tire. Best to still have a good jack around.

Thats stupid. Tires never need removing. Everyone knows that.

I guess when that day comes, I'll have to go up the ramp a ways then take it the rest of the way with the jack I have. Honestly, it wouldnt hurt to have both.

+1 I have the 7000 lb one they sell, plus when I bought mine it was on sale for $50. By no means the best jack, but it works.

If you want a jack that is low and a fast valve check out the one from craftsman... Light weight and low...

Good luck!

I use the Craftsman 4 ton ultra low profile professional jack. No trouble getting under the car.

I have the walmart gm 30 dollar job. I am about to fling it in a lake like a golf club after a frustrating shot.

The bloody handle is too short.
The pin in the handle broke off so now I need a screw driver to lower the car.
The light is intermittent.
Most importantly the flimsy back wheels some times do not allow the jack to move (when rising or lowering) pushing the car instead creating dangerous conditions....

DO yourself a favor and buy a better jack.

I am about to go to home depot and take a look at this one:

The first one which seems to be the lowest profile and best tool for the money, no store has it in stock in houston area.... you need to order from warehouse pay 70 bucks for shipping. and wait for 2-3 weeks for delivery.... by far it looks the best jack for the money

You are right the home depot job is no good either... It is too tall for our cars...

I just built this and them my jack goes under no problem. I have less than 5 inches in the front. My low pro jack is still to high
