Default Help with fuel guage problem pweeze!

Ok, so yesterday I put $15 in the stang. I was just at 20 miles until empty mark when I did that. It got me to right under half a tank. I get in the car this morning to go workout, and it says "7 miles until empty" and my guage was pretty much pegged out on E. At first I thought someone siphoned my tank. Later, the needled moved up to 1/4 tank, but now read 6 miles until empty. I get to the gym, workout, and when I come back, it now states 68 miles to E but still seems lower than it should be. Anyone know if this is a problem or what there is to fix it?

Thanks!

Perhaps the fuel gauge sensor has accumulated excess sulfur deposits. You could try some Techron additive in the gas tank and see if that cures your problem.

Will do. Does our fuel gauge still use the old school "bobber" inside the fuel tank?
